San Diego Dog Trainers

San Diego Dog TrainingMegan Wallace is the owner of Midway Dog Academy and she serves as one of the academy’s lead dog trainers. Throughout her life, Megan has had a keen love for animals. While growing up, she always brought home stray animals to care for and nurture them; she trained her pets; and she extended herself to the neighbors by training their pets.

Megan has always had a great love for animals, and she knew that she wanted to work with them eventually, but wasn’t quite sure of how she would make it happen. It wasn’t until Megan bought her own two dogs that she had discovered her callingDOG TRAINING.

San Diego dog training is very important to the happiness of your dog. Having lived in Chicago previously, Megan has seen a demographic change in dog’s behavior.

“In Chicago, residents are not allowed to leave their dog’s outside for long periods of time. And typically, the weather there wouldn’t  allow for it. That being said, I have seen a significantly higher number of dogs while living in San Diego that are what I consider environmentally stimulated. That means that they are using the environment that they are in to provide for the mental stimulation that they need everyday. I see more dogs that are reactive to sounds, people, and other dogs; which often times can manifest into aggression – a more serious and dangerous behavior to deal with. Which is why getting your dog trained and under control is vital to maintaining a happy, balanced relationship throughout the dog’s life.”

Megan recently opened her San Diego Dog Training facility to offer more dog training options to help family’s have better behaved and well-mannered pets.

The love of her profession is demonstrated by her active involvement in the following organizations:

Member, Canine Political Action Corps
Member, American Dog Owner Association
Professional Member (P-3360) IACP
Member, ASPCA
